Message from the Headteacher
|
|
Dear Parents and Carers,
Over the last two terms we have worked hard to ensure the children at Bonneygrove Primary School have been given many memorable learning experiences. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents and carers for their support - ensuring the children were dressed as Greeks, Vikings, various book characters and dressed in blue and yellow for the Bonneygrove / Ukraine day. I would also like to thank the PTA who have worked so hard to ensure our school benefits from all the fantastic experiences attended by children, parents and carers, including; quiz nights, Easter Fair, pumpkin competition, doughnuts and the children's film night.

Meet the Teacher March 2022
On every newsletter we will introduce a new teacher for the parents and carers to get to know a little better.

|
Dear Parents and Carers,
I thought I would take the opportunity to write to you as I begin my second term here at Bonneygrove Primary School.
Firstly I am delighted to be working here! I have been a primary school teacher for over twenty years, twelve of which have been at school leadership level. Bonneygrove has a delightfully positive atmosphere with incredible children and staff, and I have truly enjoyed my first term here.
My main area of responsibility is the curriculum - as I believe children should have an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum that makes them excited to come to school every day and create long-lasting memories.

Sports Roundup
Bonneygrove Primary School have just completed a busy half-term of sporting fixtures against other schools in the local sports partnership (WDPSSA). We have attended tournaments hosted at Goffs Academy where all our teams advanced from the group stages at their corresponding events, with the Girls Football team progressing furthest finishing silver medallists on the day. Furthermore, due to the fantastic performances in league matches from our pupils, our Boys A, Boys B, Girls Football and Netball Team have qualified for their respective Finals Days on the 30th and 31st of March. Good luck to all the pupils involved!
With a new term comes new opportunities, and we are pleased that Cheshunt and Rosedale Cricket Club will be offering an extracurricular club at the school. Due to its popularity, JP coaching will also be running clubs in both key stages in the coming term. The WDPSSA will be hosting cross-country, cricket, tag-rugby, and athletics events in the summer term.

A fond farewell to
Mrs Ann Staines
After many years as a Teacher at Bonneygrove Primary School – Mrs Staines, our Nursery teacher, has decided to retire. Mrs Staines is known to the majority of the families here at Bonneygrove, and she has positively impacted many children’s learning. Throughout her time at the school, she has worked in many positions, including reception. She has made many career memories and achieved many goals in her time at Bonneygrove. Mrs Staines plans to finish her teaching career at Easter and will not return after the holidays.
I know the school, children and staff mean a great deal to Mrs Staines. I know all of our families, colleagues, and children will all join me in wishing her every success in her future endeavours.
