Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers. The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
Children are also eligible for the extra funding if they are Looked After Children or belong to a Service family. At Bonneygrove we have used our funding to provide a wide variety of supportive approaches in order to narrow the gap for our vulnerable children. We have looked carefully at the needs of our families and have used the additional funds to provide opportunities that enhance the learning experience in order to help the children achieve their very best.
